Review: Welcome To Thebes at the National Theatre

Compared to some, I can’t describe myself as an avid theatre goer (I particularly dislike musicals, a no-no for anyone wanting to call themselves a Londoner, I know). However, Welcome To Thebes managed to surprise me in many ways.

A New US Embassy And Perhaps A New Tube Station At Battersea

The arrival of the new US Embassy in Battersea is imminent and the design has been released. Is it an open space for all to enjoy, or a fortress which we won’t be let near? Either way, one exciting development for the area as a result is a potential new Tube line for a part of London that has never before had a spot on TfL’s Tube map.

The Deep Exhibition at the Natural History Museum

As exhibitions go The Deep is the most interesting one I have been to yet. I am more familiar with the exhibition format of interesting object encased in glass accompanied with the typical explanatory two to three paragraphs neatly typed on white card. The Deep has blown this format out of the water.
