Half Price Sushi Every Day At The Japan Centre Foodhall

Like Japanese sushi but can’t afford to have spicy tuna nigri or soft shell crab rolls every day? Well, now you can… sort-of.

The famous Japan Centre foodhall, on the lower end of Regent Street near Piccadilly Circus, sells great takeaway sushi and other Japanese food like bento boxes. Its normally not that cheap, but if you go just before closing, like Sundays at 6:30pm, all the sushi and california rolls and yakisoba are at 50% off – which is a bargain of a deal! 6 pieces of spicy tuna sushi for £2-3? 3 tuna nigri for £2? Bargain!

So if you’re craving for some good authentic takeaway sushi in central London, and don’t want to spend an arm and a leg, go for this great half price deal at the end of the day. And every time I’ve been, there’s been loads of sushi left on the shelves – its almost as if they’re being nice to the horde of bargain hunters that descend on the Japan Centre every day.

Tip: Everything in the chiller cabinet at the foodhall is half price when the sign goes up – except for sashimi apparently. So don’t get caught out! Also while there, do support the Japan Centre and get some other stuff. They have loads of great Japanese groceries – its slightly pricey, but very authentic.

Now if only they did sushi and sashimi deliveries – I would order it every day!

The Japan Centre is on Lower Regent Street just 2 minutes walk from Piccadilly Tube Station. Opening hours for the Japan Centre foodhall are 10am to 9pm Mondays to Saturdays, and 11am to 7pm on Sundays.
