Sampling the Best Dishes at the Caxton Grill

Published 30 September 2012

Trying to narrow down a selection of the best dishes at the Caxton Grill at St. Ermin’s Hotel in Westminster, London is a challenge indeed. The menu is fairly bursting with a selection of mouth watering dishes, each of which has been carefully crafted and put together with an eye to achieving the best flavour experiences possible. So in essence, whatever you choose to sample you’re assured of a sensational taste experience.

Looking for a quick bite for lunch?

If you are you can look forward to trying the menu available between noon and 2.30pm every weekday. Here you can treat yourself to the Caxton burger, served with oyster mushroom, Somerset vintage cheddar and French fries. Elsewhere there is the Caxton mixed grill, packed to bursting with organic sirloin and smoked béarnaise sauce, as well as chicken skewers and char-roasted chorizo. This dish packs in a few other treats too, so be sure to check out the full experience on the lunchtime menu.

This is also where you’ll find some of the Caxton Grill’s tastiest desserts, including warm prune and whiskey walnut crumble cake and some decadent dark chocolate mousse. It’s definitely a fine place to eat lunch!

The perfect destination for dinner

Of course you’d expect a slightly different menu for dinner, and the Caxton Grill comes up trumps with every dish. There is a stunning selection of main courses, some wonderfully meaty dishes from the Josper Grill and a perfect selection of sides to round off any dish you choose.

Among the mains you’ll find some tempting choices, including the slow cooked organic shoulder of Laverstoke Park lamb. Alternatively vegetarians might like to sample St Ermin’s Honey roasted summer squash, complete with baby beetroots. Fish lovers will look out for the day boat catch, not to mention line caught Kentish sea bass, which is served with a delightful chorizo cream sauce.

The Josper Grill is where you’ll find some wonderful chicken and meat dishes, including vintage dry aged sirloin and organic rump steak. Clearly there is something here for everyone, and with a sensational range of sides to accompany your choice, you’ll not go hungry!

Pick a reason to visit the Caxton Grill

There are many reasons to go out to lunch or dinner. However you don’t need a real reason to visit the Caxton Grill, other than a desire to sample some of the best dishes in town. If you want an experience rather than just a meal, the Caxton Grill is the place to head for. The only challenge will be narrowing down your choice to just one dish.
