Review: Sunday Brunch at The Regent Gastropub, Balham

The Regent is a pub just around the corner from Balham tube station, and very close to where I live. It’s a prime example of a quintessential British pub – high ceilings, wood panelling, a big cavernous place, catering both to football fans with its live sports screening as well as a gastro-pub like menu.

Free Christmas Outdoor Skating “Ice” Rink in Balham

There’s good news and bad news. The good news, is that despite all the exorbitant outdoor ice skating rinks in London, there’s a free one in Balham this Christmas, sponsored by Network Rail. This ice rink is located next to the massive Sainsburys supermarket in Balham, which is conveniently located on the Northern Line. Ice skating is completely free for both adults and kids – including free skate hire.
