Review: The Ripper’s 5 Musical at Theatro Technis

Readers beware! The Ripper’s 5 is an intricate drama that occasionally makes your hair stand on end. The musical bit of the play has beautiful haunting songs and the cast achieves the effect to convey the drama within the story but, honestly, the whole piece is at times hard to follow.

Review: Muse Gig at Wembley Stadium

They, will, not, force us! They will stop degrading us!’ If the mass chanting was anything to go by, an unwitting listener may just have thought this was a rebel protest, with swathes looking to fight against corrupt governments or tear down a dictatorship.

Who the hell was Jack The Ripper? His five victims are coming back from the dead to tell us all. The legend of London East End’s most famous serial killer and the drama behind the women he murdered shape the plot of The Ripper’s 5. A night out with Emmanuel Ray & Socialite Evenings

And I have to say in the case of Socialite Evenings, yes, yes it does.

Once Upon a Time – an evening of storytelling at Kings Place

I have to admit that, above a certain age, to spend a Friday evening listening to a storyteller might not seem very tempting, but I do love tales. Regardless of their origin, a well-told tale is enthralling. They make you feel relaxed and cosy, even after a hectic day spent in the great but exhaustive city that London is.

Close Examination exhibition at the National Gallery

Visiting an art gallery is a high-brow activity, no? It’s something that I’ve always considered in the past. Before now, I had never visited an art gallery, which is shameful considering the multitude of such venues that we are blessed with here in London.

Next Door at The Cockpit Theatre

The Cockpit Theatre isn’t one of London’s best known, and it doesn’t come with West End glitz, but if the standard of performance of Next Door is anything to go by, it ought to be a must-visit destination. The inconspicuous theatre on the outskirts of Marylebone has a history dating back to 1969 when it was created by the Inner London Education Authority as a community theatre. It is now owned by Westminster City Council and run as part of the City of Westminster College.
Next Door is exemplary of the …
